May 6–12 ❘ Wisdom
Wisdom
is a shepherdess. She guides
through narrow gorge
toward cote’s safety and guards
from predator who taunts
her flock as senseless sheep,
mocks their simple trust as fault.
The beast slavers, snarls, darts in to scatter,
but cannot break the mass.
Hold fast, little lamb. Remember,
no hidden hunger lying in wait
can strike and strip your hope
down to bone—not
when you pasture
with Wisdom.
